Be brave little penguin

Summary:

Pip-Pip is a baby penguin who is afraid of the water. He thinks the scariest place in the world is the ocean where all his friends play. This book will tell the story of if Pip-Pip can overcome his fear.

Comment:

The story featuring a male penguin who is fearful and anxious about things that are supposed to come naturally to penguins is important in demonstrating that boys can be afraid of things too, just as girls can. The mother penguin’s coaxing demonstrates the positivity and possibility in encouragement.
