Zakir och Våren
(Zakir and the Spring) Book not yet available in English
Summary:
On a spring Friday Zakir returns from school exceptionally happy. His parents tell him that sometimes people fall in love during the springtime, and Zakir starts to ponder what love is. At hip-hop dance class, Zakir wonders if it’s possible to be in love with a friend, but Paula doesn’t awaken feelings of love in him. On the way home, Zakir is surprised to see the school’s grumpy janitor kissing, and at the dog park, Zakir meets Mio and his dog, Olle. However, Olle, who licks his face, is not the object of Zakir’s love. At the store, Zakir sees through his foggy glasses a boy he could fall in love with, but he is actually his own reflection.
