Summary:

Five years after a horrific accident, Gordy Allen tries to overcome it with the help of his half-brother and best friend Kevin. The two support each other to overcome difficulties, but just when it seems that things are getting back to normal, Gordy’s biological father reappears in his life. This unexpected change could cost the 15-year-old everything, including his relationship with Sarah – the only girl who has earned his trust. The abyss in Gordy’s mind is getting deeper and deeper, and he must climb out of it alone. But will he find the strength to do it?

The book touches on important issues related to experiencing psychological trauma in adolescence. Although the story is fictional, it sheds light on issues such as domestic violence and its consequences. “These Gentle Wounds” is dedicated to the care, friendship and love, which are the lifeline during a storm.
