Taja, who is a confident and hard-to-reach girl, really wants to be one of the boys. She despises the girly ways of the girls around her and is sworn to fighting any sign of puberty she detects on her body. That is, until her parents make her go to an eco-camp where her life is turned upside down by a boy named Lan. She has her first sexual experience unprepared and rather displeased, but she is nevertheless curious and surprised. In the aftermath, her life has changed and her views of love, interpersonal relationships and life have been expanded: “So this is what sex is all about. People dropping into one another. Her eyes, nose, mouth, throat, chest and stomach all felt tingly. An endless amount of tingling. She cried.”
