Summary:
Ludivine is a neurodivergent young woman who attends a special school for children with mild learning disabilities. One day, Ludivine meets Mathis, a young man the same age who takes the same bus as her. Ludivine decides to lose her virginity to Mathis. But when her parents find them in bed together, Mathis is accused of sexual abuse.

After Ludivine’s parents catch her with Mathis, she is objectified, taken to the gynaecologist and psychologist without being given the opportunity to put words to her love, her desire, and her own truth. Her parents discredit her voice. The narration is very poetic and the narrative rhythm follows the heroine’s slow thought patterns. Ludivine talks to Mathis as if telling him their story from the beginning: the narrative form lends great sensitivity to the text, as love blossoms between a teenager with a mild intellectual disability and a boy who takes the time to love her for herself. A highly poetic novel about disability and relationships.
