Summary:
Adele is the Substitute Granddaughter of Mrs. Pupa. In 2020, the boys do a special job: after school, they visit old people to keep them company, like real, good grandchildren. Adele expects boring afternoons. But everything will be different. With Pupa the hours will pass quickly, building fantastic objects […] and listening to the stories of extraordinary adventures: those lived by the young Pupa in the company of a camel-dinosaur and of the Jinn, the good genius who has helped her in difficult situations. Pupa is determined, intelligent, ironic, never sad. She has noble ideals: fighting banality, prejudice, falsehoods. [Back cover]

Comment:
Pupa is a fairy tale for 10+ year old children, which is also suitable for adults. The story shows the humankind in a clear and disturbing 2020. There are so many old people that children have the burden of adopting one for a limited period. The 2020 family law has had no actual effect: children do not willingly visit old people and parents think they are just wasting their time. The person making the request must show kindness and courtesy. Some girls are really good at this job, others less so.
