(Never bring home a girl from the future) Book not yet available in English
Summary:
Andrea is sixteen. Her mother has mysteriously gone missing, so she lives with her father, her older brother Pierrrik, and her younger brother Tiago. One day, outside her high school, she spots a group of strange girls all dressed the same way. One of them, Pénélope, gets separated from the group. Andrea and her family take her in, but Pénélope is dumbstruck by the three males. Andrea discovers that Pénélope comes from the future, when men no longer exist: Pénélope will be born in 2171 and for her, Andrea’s world is dark, dangerous, and positively medieval.

Comment:
A lively, scathing, witty novel that urges us to measure our own ideals against the future. When science fiction and feminism come together, they make an explosive cocktail! The novel was listed for the Franco-German Youth Literature Prize in 2017. It was followed by two further volumes, Ne retournez jamais chez une fille du passé [Never go to a past girl’s home] and Ne dites jamais jamais [Never say never].
