Summary:

This is a story about a father and son relationship. The young son who can’t quite believe his father used to be cool because he seems so boring now, and he wonders what happened that changed his dad.

Comment:

This vibrantly illustrated book captures some of the friction in the father-son relationship as well as the great love between them. The father is depicted positively throughout, and is active in all aspects of everyday domestic and family life: household chores, tying child’s shoelace, driving child to playground, as well as fully engaging in play. The book is an important depiction of a father fully invested in all aspects of family life and a positive father-son relationship.
