Enriched with illustrations by Lucia Scuderi (Andersen award for Best Illustrator 2013), this book invites everyone to overcome traditional gender-based clichés and to be oneself freely. It also shows that the most sincere friendship comes from the respect for all types of diversity. As in many other cases, here the overturn of the traditional scheme of fairy tales works well to open infinite existential possibilities for the readers, who can identify with these unconventional characters. After all, who said that there cannot be a reckless princess and a prince to save?
