Io sono tu sei
(I am you are) Book not yet available in English
Summary:
Have you ever tried to retrace your story since you were a little child, maybe just newborn? Photographs, memories, stories from your parents… it’s all grist to the mill! It is called biography. Here’s the brilliant idea of the librarian Marina for the little ones: divided into couples, each child will write the biography of the other… and the two will become very close friends! The project starts, and it works! Especially for Beatrice – eight years old, third grade of primary school – and Aziza, a Moroccan girl who is ten year old but still in second grade. Aziza still has to learn Italian well! And telling your life to a friend can really change it.

Comment:
As the title suggests, the text reflects and makes us reflect on identity and diversity, as well as on the relationship with the Other lived in an authentic way. The biography expedient reminds us that we can all write the text of our life by referring to the relationships we can establish, and to the mental patterns which are typical of the adult world but which we can overcome.
