Summary:

Princesses are beautiful, obey their fathers and marry the boldest royal candidate who asks for her hand in marriage. Princes are brave swordsmen, though their other talents are rather limited, and, generally, they marry one of those beautiful princesses. And, obviously, they wear a shiny armour and defeat wild robbers and scary dragons. In classic fairy tales, at least. In the three stories in this anthology, however, things are slightly different: the candidates are defeated at football, in a tickling contest, or at cherry pit spitting – and at the end, the winner… no, we won’t tell you straight away. The hero of the next story charms a princess with his trumpet playing, of all things.
