Henrietta
(Henrietta, My Secret) Book not yet available in English
Summary:
“Suddenly, I spot her. It gives me a twinge, even hurts somewhere deep in my chest. At the same time, it feels like someone has punched me hard in the stomach, and I’m gasping for air. Is this love?” Möwe is secretly in love with Henrietta, though he doesn’t dare approach her. But if you let too many opportunities pass you by, it might just be too late at some point. Möwe’s shyness almost ruins everything, but in the end, love indeed prevails – and readers can expect an ending that no one could have foreseen.

Comment:
At the centre of this story is an extraordinary boy whose perspective shapes the entire narrative. It’s all about first love, extreme shyness and the courage to embark on something entirely unpredictable. Sensitive, poetic, and refreshingly different.
