With Danny, Peter Conrad seeks to confront everybody with a profoundly human problem, not matter whether one is gay or not, or whether one is a teenager, mother, father, brother, sister, good friend or teacher. This problem is sexuality and how to approach it. The novel even has an educational touch, as it is about teenagers specifically. The novel is also a small treasure trove for parents.
