A bona fide masterpiece, it is a harmonious fusion of poetry, language, and visual art. The illustrations, dominated by eye-catching reds, are particularly striking, evoking life, passion, love, the heart, and togetherness; the red cherries spilling across the pages are quite literally the cherry on top.
