Amelia Earhart was born in Kansas. She was the first woman solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She tried a round-the-world flight but to travel around the world, but her plane disappeared in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and has never been found. Thus, mystery surrounds the tragic end for her adventure.

The illustrations are tender and full of colour, making the brief text very attractive for readers.
