Summary:
There are many tales of Ancient Greece known nowadays, and one of the most famous ones is the story of two heroes, Achilles and Patroclus. They were inseparable childhood friends and they both fought in the Trojan War. There, the Trojan king killed Patroclus, which drove Achilles to deep despair, as he loved Patroclus more than anything in the world. He got in terrible rage, clashed with the Trojan army, and killed the king. But in doing so, he was mortally wounded. This picture book was illustrated by Ana Lucija Šarić, who received the Kristina Brenkova Award for artistic innovation. (source: publisher)

In the picture book Achilles and Patroclus, we follow the story of two men who have had a great love for each other since their childhood. In this romantic love story, we realize that revenge after the loss of a loved one can be wild and mindless, and that love conquers the fear of death.
