Through the sublime and poetic writing of Rosa Lobato de Faria, the reader is invited to enter the peculiar and glamorous world of Teófilo, a young writer who struggles to accept and assume his homosexuality. The characters, all extremely well-built and interesting, give the narrative a particular charm. In addition, the fact that Teófilo is presented as a complex human being and not just as a homosexual man contributes immensely to the humanization of LGBTQ+ people, something that, unfortunately, is still scarce in art. Also noteworthy is the beauty of the cover, a wonderful arrangement of a painting by Henry Scott Tuke. With echoes of ”Call me by your Name”, this is a book that enchants from the suggestive and charming title to the stupendous ending. (Vitória Sousa)
