Comment:

This book provides a straightforward narrative reversal of Sleeping Beauty. Prince Handsome is the prince cursed by male wizard, and it is a male friend of the prince who causes the curse to be enacted. A city grows up around the castle and all of its inhabitants who are in a deep slumber, and Princess Anya, drills under the city to reach the prince and wake him up. However, marriage upon the prince’s waking is also declined as Princess Anya declares she does not know him well enough.
