I am actually a penguin

Summary:

This book tells the story of a little girl who gets a penguin suit from her uncle and insists on wearing it everywhere and being treated like a penguin.

Comment:

This book depicts and celebrates the determination of the young girl throughout. Gender as a performance is hinted at when the girl wears her penguin suit to a wedding, allowing her to fit in with men at a wedding wearing their “penguin suits.”
