Olivia the pig is a feisty character at the centre of this book for very young children, and brings her very own focus to the things that make up her alphabet. The narrative focuses on a wide array of objects and activities that span those typically associated with both genders. The fact that the book is driven entirely by a carefree and bold female character is of note here.
