Pearl Power and the toy problem

Summary:

Pearl is a clever young girl who shows us that there is no such thing as girl toys and boy toys.

Comment:

This is the second book by Mel Elliot to focus on the character Pearl, who explores the world that seems to be frustratingly divided into girls and boys. Though directly confronting the issue of gendered toys, the book retains a lightness and humour that prevent it from becoming solely an issue book.
