The tough princess

Summary:

A spunky princess with a mind of her own resists her parents’ plans to ensnare a prince for her and rides forth to adventures of her choosing.

Comment:

In this story the princess grows up with a mind of her own and behaves in a way completely unexpected by her parents. Traditional roles are changed as she even rescues several princes. She is brave, courageous and independent. The book proves that girls can do anything and breaks with the traditional role of princesses. Its full-colour pictures perfectly describe a dark-haired princess and a big-jawed, blond prince. The large print and funny, well-designed drawings have much appeal.
