The bad mood and the stick
A girl called Curly gets into a bad mood when she is not allowed to have ice-cream. Her bad mood soon disappears but moves onto someone else.
This is a book that deals sensitively and comically with the transience of bad moods and the chance that can connect people. The bad mood affects different people, and everyone feels equally unnerved and annoyed by it, regardless of gender, showing a commonality of feeling and emotion across boys and girls, children and adults.
