Frances Dean who loved to dance and dance

Summary:

This girl loves to dance, and would dance all day every day if she could. There is one problem: she is so shy that she cannot dance when anyone else is around.

Comment:

The protagonist loves to dance but feels different to others, and too shy to dance in front of an audience. The book presents a sensitive exploration of inhibiting self-consciousness and shyness in a young girl protagonist, and how this is gradually overcome.
