Declaration of the rights of boys and girls

Manifesto in favour of the right of boys to use the clothes they like, to play the games they prefer, to love the people they want. [Source: Electre]

We suggest that both girls and boys read together Elisabeth Brami’s picture books (i.e. The Declaration of the Rights of Girls and The Declaration of the Rights of Boys), in order to promote awareness about gender stereotypes. These books can be considered two hymns to equality and diversity, and they are accompanied by the dynamic and amusing illustrations of Estelle Billon-Spagnol. Their layout gives rise to numerous situations that illustrate the texts, contextualize them or elaborate on their meaning.
