Six speculative fiction stories by young Portuguese authors starring queer people. However, sexual orientation or gender is just one of the many facets that the characters have. The protagonists have their own personalities and agendas, they’re not stereotypes, or a tick on the list of things a story needs to be inclusive.

In narrative terms, it is a well-paced story that manages to make us want to know more about the reasons for the interactions that take place in it. Still, in terms of premise, the justification for the whole story could have been a little better worked, giving more focus to the short episodes that intersperse the main story. It is, however, a story of competent writing that opens this Anthology well. (Cristina Alves)
