Olhos de Cão

(Dog Eyes) Book not yet available in English

Summary:

Dog Eyes is the name that a university professor gives in intimacy to one of his students. Disturbed by his desire and unable to fulfill it, he simply lets himself be carried away by the routine of his almost empty days, in the hangover of an old frustrated relationship. Around him another teacher and another student emerge and in the space of a year they follow the changes in his life, vaguely guided by a mirage of love.

Comment:

Olhos de Cão is an ironic and fragmented story about non-heroes, about four men who are still struggling to know how to live. A vague portrait of homosexuality in a Portugal at the end of the century.
