Greipinkeltainen tulevaisuus
(The Future as Yellow as a Grapefruit) Book not yet available in English
Summary:
Eero is helping in a flower shop in his free time, but working for the city for summer. His job is to remove graffiti during the day, which he paints at night to get some practice for possible art school studies. Eero has applied to an art school, but it’s in London. When summer is starting, Eero gets a letter confirming if he got in or not. Eero doesn’t open the letter straight away, because he hasn’t decided if he wants to go or stay. Eero’s friend Piku has drifted to bad company and he’s drinking too much and too often. Eero has taken care of Piku for a while now, so he’s worried what might happen if he leaves. During the summer Eero gets to know Airi, and she brings a new colour to Eero’s life: grapefruit yellow. Eero’s story started in the graphic novel Älä unohda minua (“Forget-Me-Not“, 2021).
