Summary:
The book tells the story of the growing up of seventh-grade students at a school in a provincial town. Tommy and Mia fall in love. Both have disabilities, which makes them feel close to each other and different from others. She has anisomelia—different leg lengths. Tommy has a heart defect.
At the end of the school year, Tommy does not survive his upcoming surgery. Mia breaks down and attempts suicide. She is saved from loneliness by the attention and concern of her classmate Darin. Unfortunately, she is unable to share her experiences with him. The children in the class go their separate ways in life thanks to the support and understanding of their teacher. They all meet at the beginning of the school year ten years after completing their primary education. And they all tell their stories of growing up, their experiences, and the lessons they have learned from life.

A book in which every young person can find something for themselves. A book about loneliness, communication, differences, the problems of teenagers with electronic means of communication, the wrong path to addiction, the loss of loved ones, friendship and, of course, love and personal growth.
