Матея

(Matea) Book not yet available in English

Summary:

In her book, Eugenia Voynova paints the picture of a deaf little girl that has not one, but several talents: she can see the words on people’s lips by reading them and she is also a master of creating magnificent book figures. Matea is also patient and knows to forgive when she is rejected due to ignorance. She is also noble – she saves the city celebration all by herself. This book is a reminder to teach not only children intellectually but emotionally – something on which their attitude towards the world and the people in it tomorrow depends…

Comment:

A heartfelt story about a little girl that teaches us kindness is the way to people’s hearts. A book that shows us that it’s important to teach children from a young age to be tolerant of others and show empathy.
