Summary:
The African Force is a team of young special agents who live in a fictionalised land somewhere on the African continent and help solve problems in the world whenever there seems to be no solution. In a celebration of Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOP), each character has a special name from their country of origin: Nzinga (Angola), Cacau (São Tomé and Príncipe), Crioulo (Cape Verde), Bijagós (Guinea-Bissau) and Macua (Mozambique). These little agents have a big mystery to unravel: how did the sun stop shining and the Earth start to cool down?

Was it stolen? is the first in a series of books by “Força Africana” and places at the center of this children’s narrative five black heroes and heroines – Nzinga, Crioulo, Bijagós, Macua and Cacau. The authorship is by Paula Cardoso and has illustrations by Irene Filipe Marques.
