(One for all, all for one) Book not yet available in English

Summary:

Margot Duchesne is a one-time professional rugby player, now sports minister. She loses her job in a government reshuffle and goes to the Basque Pyrenees for a week to recharge her batteries. There she meets Argia, an energetic young shepherdess taking care of her flock of ewes. The two women becomes friends, and Margot tells Argia about her burning ambition to set up a rugby team and to coach the French national side.

Comment:

A novel on the unusual theme of gender inequality in elite sport. Margot is determined to smash the glass ceiling and overcome the sexism she sees everywhere in sport. She is a highly positive female role model, countering gender clichés and promoting solidarity and team spirit.
