Summary:
Joan had great dreams, depite being a teenager. She believed that God wanted her to take charge of the French army. Her! A poor shepherdess who could neither read nor ride a horse. But her love for God was greater than her fear. She put on her armor, grabbed a white banner, and spurred her horse. The French laughed at her, but Joan was as stubborn as brave; a few months later she had almost achieved her goal.

Readers will enjoy discovering the story of France’s heroine, so named for her role during the final phase of the Spanish Hundred Years’ War. Her values and feats are important still nowadays. This book is easy to read and its appealing images contribute to educating on feminism and gender equality.
