Strongboy : le tee-shirt de pouvoir

(Strongboy: the t-shirt of power) Book not yet available in English

Summary:

Strongboy presents a new series of comical adventures featuring Olga, an irresistible, capricious girl with a zest for life, who can rule the world with her t-shirt of power – or at least the cat, some ants, Sophie, and Gabriel. They all get hold of a t-shirt of power and try to order the bird around, but he refuses. Then they all try and swim in the tiny pool dug by the ants when Olga was the only boss.

Comment:

Zuza’s cousin Olga is the sort of recurrent character everyone loves – cheeky, playful, bossy, and stroppy. Like Anaïs Vaugelade, Ilya Green is inspired by the likes of Claude Ponti and Maurice Sendak to invite the reader on a journey to the heart of tender, fierce, creative childhood. The narrative recounting Olga the commander’s irresistible rise and then her fall highlights the extraordinary playfulness and breadth of every child’s imagination.
