Summary:
We are all equal and different at the same time, and that applies to families too. Some families are made up by a father and a mother, others are composed of two fathers or two mothers, and others of a father or a mother with their children. Some families are big, others small. There are also adoptive families and foster homes. This book shows the variety of families in which children live and grow up.

The book teaches children that women and men are equal and have the same rights; an egalitarian world can only be achived through education. Problems caused by inequality between men and women are discussed.
