The book speaks to very young readers about autism, and it shows how difficult it may be for a mother to accept the cynical and hopeless verdict of science for a disease we still know very little about. With a delicate and poetic style, this book shapes a special mother-child relationship, that is based on little daily achievements and capable of going beyond conventional language. A relationship which succeeds in disproving the pessimistic expectations of medicine, and in conquering a social space where diversity is welcomed and enhanced.
