Comment:
With brilliant illustrations by Sara Not, the book is an entertaining account of a family’s trip to New York to attend the uncle’s wedding. Published before the law on civil unions was passed in Italy, this book tells in a playful way that there are places in the world where a man can marry his boyfriend. The publishing house Lo Stampatello was established with the specific aim to fill a gap in the Italian publishing market for children – the absence of representations of queer families.
