Loris is a child with long hair, so long that people often mistake him for a girl. Yet there are so many heroes with long hair! [Source: Electre]
Selected during the 2008 Sorcières bookshop week, this sensitive and original picture book represents a hymn to the right to be different. It therefore conveys a fundamental message to boys and girls from an early age. The narration, short and essential, is enhanced by illustrations, which are accurate and poetic. What makes this picture book even more valuable is the scarcity of books published with unconventional male characters, while works that focus on the empowerment of girls are now much more common.
