Elmer and the lost teddy

Baby Elephant cannot get to sleep when he loses his teddy bear, so Elmer sets out to find it. Is the lost teddy with Giraffe? With Monkey? With Hippo? It’s getting late. Will Elmer find the lost bear in time for bed?

Young children will love the gentle suspense of the story and will rejoice in its happy ending. The book highlights feelings of friendship and love and could be useful to read with the children in class activities. For example, all the children could bring in their own special teddies and talk to the class about how special they are to them.
