The stories show not only young readers that countless girls and women have played a significant role in the course of human history. The book can correct the often stereotypical and one-sided teaching of history, which predominantly features male historical figures and personalities, especially from the Euro-American context. It thus challenges the narrative that world history is only the history of white men.
