Comment:
With a sparkling and humorous style, the novel describes the fashion world, which is based on physical appearance, and it denounces its sexism and superficiality. The book is written in the first person and it allows the reader to share with Diana an important moment of her life, that is, when the girl begins to ask questions about adults’ expectations and about her own desires. Eventually, she will reach the awareness that will allow her to leave the world of fashion.
