Summary:
Once upon a time there were two male little pigs, a female little pig, and a wolf. Even if she was afraid of the wolf, the female little pig didn’t really like the idea of closing herself up in a small house and of staying there, warm and safe, waiting to hear the wolf’s howling. Unlike her brothers, she is not sure that it is a great solution. And so she comes up with a very clever solution.

The book presents a new and exciting version of the classic Three Little Pigs. Here the author adds a new female character who is not trapped into the stereotypical desire for quiet and security, represented by the house. On the contrary, she uses her intelligence, wit, and instinct, and she becomes an active protagonist who fights against the wolf. The series “Fiabe quasi classiche” (Almost classic fairy tales) by the Italian publisher Topipittori draws on the classical repertoire of fairy tales to review and drastically change them, introducing elements of current events that lead us to reflect on some schemes and stereotypes of our societies.
