Accompanied by Ursula Bucher’s beautiful illustrations, the book speaks of a single parent family, to emphasize how each family has its own particular form, which is happy and must be respected. A girl and her mother are a family too. The book offers the portrait of a resourceful and self-confident child, who is not discouraged by a seemingly difficult task. This series contains books which deal with different forms of parenting. The publishing house Lo Stampatello was established with the specific aim to fill a gap in the Italian publishing market for children – the absence of representations of queer families.
