Comment:
Child’s picture book gives a clever and fresh take on the idea of what would really happen if storybook characters came to life. Its colourful illustrations keep readers on their toes until the last page of the story. Since the book depicts the common middle-class, white family, the boy’s father is absent throughout the book. Since the wolf is in a suit, it seems to draw parallels between the protagonist’s outlook on his absent father and the big, bad wolf.
