Mademoiselle Zazie a-t-elle un zizi?

(Does Miss Zazie have a willy?) Book not yet available in English

For Max, the world is divided into two distinct categories: with-willies and without-willies. His simple, binary world vision is thrown into chaos when Zazie comes along. Zazie plays football, climbs trees, and loves mammoths. Is she a girl with a willy? Max sets out to find the answer…

The story is told from Max’s viewpoint and follows his thinking as it develops step by step from a simplistic, sexist vision of the relationship between boys and girls to a more positive vision of differences and individualities. The story is suitable for very young beginning readers, with a simple, funny text and sharply observed illustrations. It is the first in a series, including  Mademoiselle Zazie veut un bébé, Les baisers de mademoiselle Zazie, Mademoiselle Zazie a trop d’amoureux, Mademoiselle Zazie et la robe de Max, Mademoiselle Zazie déteste la maîtresse, Mademoiselle Zazie veut embrasser Max, Mademoiselle Zazie a de gros nénés, Mademoiselle Zazie ne veut pas être hôtesse de l’air. The series has been adapted as a television cartoon.
