Summary:
An eight-year-old child has such long feet that she stumbles continually, especially at ballet lesson, where mom sends her in the hope of making her more graceful. Everyone laughs at her, especially her companions. And since there is no cure for her imperfections, her parents eventually decide to cut her feet. Luckily, she runs away before the operation. She even gets a pair of daring red boots that make her imperfection even more noticeable!

A touching novel about all those tiny physical imperfections that make kids suffer immensely. It is the story about the acceptance of children’s disadvantages by their parents and the environment.
