Following on from the bold, thought-provoking series of Declarations of the rights of girls, boys, and mummies comes the Declaration of the rights of daddies. The daddies in the book, far from trying to be superheroes, have both feet planted firmly on the ground and seem to live by the same watchword: living happily in the company of their loved ones. “Sewing on a button, ironing, cooking dinner, emptying the bin, filling the dishwasher and looking after poorly children” is more important than being feared or idolized by their family. Children and adults alike will enjoy comparing their own families to the comical, tender snapshots captured in words and watercolours by the author and illustrator.
