Comment:

The story takes place in a fantasy world during an unspecified era, but it addresses the injustices of our time, such as honor-based violence and the oppression of women. Maresi is a tough story about opposing and resisting violence by men, as well as facing past trauma and grief. The novel also deals with the themes of friendship, love and finding yourself.
