Summary:
Marin is a high school student with a bright future ahead of her. Her English teacher, Mr. Beckett, appreciates her writing and talks to her about books. But when the teacher takes their “relationship” too far, Marin is shocked and confused. When she raises the situation with the school, no one believes her. What’s more, she has to see him every day in class and put up with his remarks. But Marin is not going to give up. As editor of the school newspaper, she starts a feminist book club, where she finds surprising allies. And when events at school and in her personal life begin to take a dangerous turn, Marin must take her life into her own hands and write her own rules.
