We Should All Be Feminist
Summary:
Nigerian bestselling author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie examines the word feminism in her essays and explores why so many people perceive it as an insult. Whenever she tried, as a child or teenager, to speak her mind or act independently, she was immediately labeled: feminist! For Adichie, feminism is not only a fight for women’s rights, but a struggle for a better world for everyone. Rules about what women and men are supposed to do push us into boxes of gender stereotypes, often resulting in an unhappy and violent world.
